Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) has caught up with the
football frenzy and kicked-off a series of sporty campaigns to
propel the spirit of ongoing World Cup Football. Codenamed
Goal O’ Goal, HAL has roped in its homegrown National
Football Team for this unique event.
As the first
step, HAL has rolled out five themes based on football syntax
like free kick, penalty shot, goal delight and team spirit.

Dhruv’s impressions over a football ground fills in the fifth
slot.
Terming the
current campaign as a token of HAL’s support to the team and
also a gift to the thousands of fans across the Nation, HAL
Chairman Mr Ashok K. Baweja said: “Our flying machines symbolize
the might and capabilities of the Nation, while our football
team stands out for their commitment and passion towards the
game. This makes us proud that we are second to none in
realizing our goals.”
HAL Football
team, the current Karnataka champions, has been making inroads
in the National Football League (2nd Division) with
some breathtaking performances to find the third spot. HAL’s two
players have represented India this year and team captain Xavier
V. was part of the AFC Qualifying Championship at Japan and AFC
Challenge Trophy at Bangladesh. “We are a motivated lot and this
campaign has lifted out spirits. HAL might not be at the thick
of actions in Germany, but our heart, mind and soul are there
with great game of football,” says Xavier.
The team ‘s
splendid show saw majors like Vasco Goa, SBT and Tata Football
Academy run for cover during the recent NFL 2nd
Division League.
HAL is also
planning a special football showdown in
Bangalore
city ahead of the World Cup finals on July 9 in
Berlin.
The Company’s specially-decorated World Cup Football Caravan
along with its football players will visit few parks in the City
with a series of fun-filled games for children. “We don’t want
to miss this opportunity. Children and parents can look forward
for this unique goal-scoring mela. Be there, score goals, play
with our football team and take home prizes,” says HAL football
team Coach Krishnoji Rao, who is the former technical director
of Indian team. The date and time for the Go, Get the Goal
mela will be announced shortly.
