UK’s PM Visits HAL Facilities

    Rt. Hon’ble Mr. David Cameron, the Prime Minister of United Kingdom visited Hindustan Aeronautics Limited, Bangalore Complex on 28th July 2010.  

    The Prime Minister was briefed by Shri Ashok Nayak, Chairman, HAL on projects of HAL namely Hawk Mk 132, Light Combat Aircraft (LCA), Intermediate Jet Trainer (IJT), Light Combat Helicopter (LCH) and Advanced Light Helicopter (ALH). 

     On the occasion, HAL signed a declaration with the major UK partners, M/s BAE Systems and M/s Rolls Royce, to further strengthen the scope of cooperation particularly in the areas of Production of aircraft/ engines, support/ services for aircraft, engines & spares, development of long term sustainable global business relationship. 

     On behalf of HAL the declaration was signed by Shri P Soundara Rajan, Director (Corporate Planning & Marketing) and on behalf of BAE Systems, Mr. Guy Griffith, Group Managing Director- International signed the declaration. Mr. Christhopher John Awde, Director Commercial, signed the declaration on behalf of Rolls Royce. The parties agreed and finalised the contracts for supply of 57 Hawk Aircraft to the Indian Armed Forces.
