Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL)
on Saturday infused fresh blood into its rank and file by inducting
close to 400 young Management and Design Trainees (MTs & DTs). This
was HAL’s first major event after getting the Navratna status.
The induction ceremony, held at Satya Sai Samskrutha Sadanam
on Hosur Road in Bangalore, saw senior HAL officials interacting
with the youngsters, who represented virtually every state in the
country. This was the 34th batch of MTs and DTs joining HAL after a
tough round of selection process that screened over 25,000
aspirants.
In his inaugural speech, Director Personnel and
Administration Mr Sanjeev Sahi said that the Company offers an
excellent opportunity for all those ready to take on the challenges.
“HAL has a glorious past and a shining future. We will offer an
extremely employee-friendly platform. The demands in aviation are
ever increasing and we will value your talent to the core. Believe
in your dreams and HAL will back it for you,” Mr Sahi said.
Emphasizing that HAL stood for the development of its
workforce, Mr Sahi wanted the fresh recruits to feel at home. “Once
everybody starts treating their workplace as their own, focus and
oneness will follow suit. There could be areas of concern, but
together we shall take this Company forward,” he said.
Asking the youngsters to keep their minds alive, Mr Sahi reminded
the greatness of HAL, which stood the test of times and marched
ahead conquering new milestones. ”This is a value-driven Company and
hence everyone would be under watchful eyes. The success will depend
upon the hard work each one of you will put in. You are about to
begin an exciting journey and my best wishes to you all,” Mr Sahi
concluded.
In his welcome address, Mr Anantha Agasthya, Dean, HAL
Management Academy, said that the Company rejoiced the entry of
every new member into its fold. Mr T. Sudhakar Rao, General Manager,
P&A, wanted the youngsters to derive the ability to transfer
projects to products. Senior HMA faculty Mr Karunakara gave the vote
