HAL launches newspaper from Minsk Square

The historic Minsk Square on Bangalore’s famous Cubbon Road shares its name with a newspaper now.

Minsk Square Matters, launched by State-owned aviation major Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL), was rolled out from the hangars of Corporate Office on September 1. A completely indigenous product, this weekly tabloid is a unique attempt to reach out to the 30,000-strong HAL family, apart from the Media, Services, Government, Corporate Houses and Customers.

Similar to HAL’s star products, Minsk Square Matters too boasts of state-of-the-art components including crisp content, dazzling design, great graphics and other paraphernalia, which befit a complete newspaper.

As if paying gurudakshina to the company’s founder late Seth Walchand Hirachand, Minsk Square Matters was formally launched by his granddaughter Ms Pallavi Jha, a business tycoon from Mumbai. Ms Jha, who was in Bangalore to polish the Walchand family’s ties with HAL, also dished out plans to equip HAL through a series of people power projects. Ms Jha is the CMD of Dale Carnegie India and also a promoter of one of the world’s leading cricket portals. The first copy of the paper was presented to Mr Sanjeev Sahi, Director Personnel and Administration, HAL, at a very simple ceremony.

Minsk Square Matters will be published every Friday with all the hottest events about the Company, its employees and initiatives. The newspaper is a proactive step from HAL’s Corporate Communications Department.

The e-version of the paper is up on www.hal-india.com.
