Mr Ashok Nayak has been appointed as the Managing
Director (Bangalore Complex) of Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL),
Bangalore.
Mr Nayak has been elevated to this high-profile post,
following the superannuation of Mr A.K. Saxena on June 30, 2007. Mr
Nayak assumed office on July 1, 2007 and prior to this he was the
General Manager of Aircraft Division.
“I will strive hard to achieve higher customer satisfaction with
focus on prompt delivery and serviceability,” Mr Nayak said soon
after assuming the office.
A product of Bangalore University, Mr Nayak joined HAL
in 1973 as a Management Trainee and has to his credit over 33 years
of experience in Manufacture, Quality Assurance, Production
Planning\Control, Customer Service and Engineering Services. He was
assigned the responsibility of Aerospace Division, which
manufactures the structural assemblies and tankages of PSLV/GSLV. He
has also indepth knowledge in MRO of aircraft, aero-engines and
accessories.
During his tenure with the Aircraft Division, Mr Nayak
led the production teams of Jaguar, Lakshya and Hawk, apart from
spearheading HAL’s export activities.
